AllTime EDM has named Tape B as its 2023 Breakout Artist of The Year. The bass artist has been on our radar for over a year with his captivating sets, heavy-hitting individual releases, and countless compilations. Perhaps most known for his hip-hop and dubstep fusions, Tape B has continued to rise in the scene as he brings different genres together with deep bass and a dose of nostalgia.

Tape B has performed at iconic festivals like Electric Forest and Lost Lands, Red Rocks, and supported artists like Zeds Dead and Subtronics all while playing his own headline tour. The producer’s work ethic is impressive and his creativity shines with every move he makes.

Tape B began the year with the release of CarTunes Vol: 2, an hour-long mix that was perfectly curated for long drives before dropping his first single of 2023, “Neon Shades” with Conrank. He dropped his fourth EP, Over Saturated, on Deadbeats shortly after. With four bass-filled tracks, the EP captured his ability to touch multiple genres.

After a long wait, he and Wooli officially released their long-awaited collaboration, “Dopamine.” The pair had teased the track in 2022 and revealed that it sampled “Good Feeling” by Flo Rida. They went b2b at an after-party in March 2023 before Tape B went onto support Wooli at several shows. He and smith. played together at Deadbeats vs Cyclops Recordings a few weeks later followed by a b2b with HEYZ.

Along with original tracks, Tape B consistently drops remixes on YouTube and SoundCloud. He released Driptapes Volume 4, a compilation of remixes from hip-hop artists like A$AP Rocky and Mac Miller. Most recently, Tape B revealed Vibe Check Volume 1 with edits of songs including “Promises” by Nero and Skrillex and “Sleepless” by Excision

Tape B celebrated the holiday season in Denver with two sold-out shows at the Ogden Theatre. He is ringing 2024 in at Radiance NYE before he begins the second phase of the Old School x New School Tour on January 26. So far, the tour has 14 confirmed stops and more are to be announced.

The DJ also recently announced that he is playing Ultra Music Festival in Miami. After snagging sets at Hard Summer, Wakaan Fest, and Bass Canyon this year, it is safe to say that Ultra is one of many lineups he will be on in 2024. Check out the artist’s official website for a list of upcoming shows.

With a consistent string of performances, a seemingly unending amount of unreleased songs, and a growing fanbase, the artist has a hopeful year ahead of him and one thing is for sure – Tape B is going to show us how it’s done in 2024. Listen to his latest EP, Over Saturated, here:
