The Elev808 and Offbeat team exceeded expectations this weekend with a tech house afterparty, bringing Wooli out to play a secret Stumpi set followed by a b2b with Tape B. From midnight to six in the morning the producers played underground house and techno at the Offbeat Hideout.
In his own words, “Wooli died so Stumpi could live. Tech house rules.” Stumpi’s low bass and quick tempos kept the crowd moving as he mixed “The Age of Love” by Charlotte de Witte and Enrico Sangiuliano, “MAMI” by Chris Lorenzo, and “Where You Are” by John Summit.
Wooli’s tech house alias offers a fresh contrast from his typical heavy riddim and dubstep. His Stumpi sets show off his ability to defy genres and create music for bass lovers.
Following Stumpi‘s set, Tape B finished the night out, playing until the sun rose at six in the morning. His presence is unmatched as he plays, getting fully immersed into his set and building off of the energy of the crowd. He dropped remixes of “I Can’t Stop” by Flux Pavilion and “In the End” by Linkin Park, pulling in his hip-hop and old-school influences.
Wooli and Tape B confirmed that they were working together at the end of last year when Wooli asked the bass producer to send his stems. Read more about their possible collab here.
Elev808 are truly making their mark on the Denver scene. The show sold out in less than twenty-four hours without any official confirmation on who would be playing.
From the lighting team to the bartenders to the people working the merch booth, the vibes of their afterparties are unmatched. Along with throwing can’t-miss shows, the duo makes some of the best merch in the game right now.
Last month, the team had eleven people and around twelve hours to set up the warehouse and a 360 stage with lasers. They promised there would be more lasers for this after, and they delivered. Color filled the room, bouncing off all corners of the warehouse in sync with the bass.
