Au5 has dropped “Bridges,” the first single off of his upcoming album on Ophelia Records. Complete with beautiful chimes and lyrics, “Bridges” is genuine all the way through with Linney’s captivating vocals.
Enchanting melodies and mid-tempo beats flow through future bass drops, showcasing Au5’s dynamic creations. The hook, “We’re building bridges tonight,” reflects the importance of support, especially in the face of adversity. The lyrics continue to encourage loving each other and remaining hopeful.
The bass producer revealed that the single was written on Zoom with creators from Los Angeles, Denver, and Adelaide, Australia. While adjusting to social restrictions due to COVID-19, the need for connection grew and it became more difficult to foster relationships.
“As we were writing it, we imagined two hands fearlessly reaching out for one another, longing for connection, spanning oceans, latching hands and interlocking fingers to create a literal bridge. Our hope is that Bridges reminds us all of the beauty that arises when hearts harmonize across time zones, effortlessly bridging the gaps that separate us,” he said.
With the drop of “Bridges,” Au5 announced that his sixth album, Between Bridges, is his first multi-track project on Ophelia Records. He has worked with the label in the past, releasing “Remember,” a collaboration with Seven Lions and Crystal Skies, and a few remixes. His sixth studio album. Between Bridges will be released on October 13 and can be pre-saved here.
