At his show in Phoenix last night, ISOxo played an unreleased ID from him and Skrillex. With a recognizable sample from “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites,” the song draws on sped-up vocal chops, perfectly blending ISOxo’s heavier trap with Skrillex’s fresh take on dubstep.
On New Year’s Eve, Skrillex went back-to-back with Fred Again… and Four Tet to ring in the new year at Madison Square Garden. The iconic producer took the surprises even further, bringing ISOxo out for a b2b and the premiere of their collaboration.
The pair have worked together prior to this and ISOxo is credited for mastering and mixing one of Skrillex’s two newest albums, Quest For Fire. Since January 1st, ISOxo has dropped the track at Ultra Miami and included it in his own sets.
ISOxo has been rising in the scene since his first release, “ID,” in 2017. Since then, he has garnered over 15 million streams on Spotify and gained massive support from other artists and the electronic dance community as a whole. The producer uses a deep bass that continues throughout his tracks, whether he is diving into house, dubstep, trap, or other genres.
There has been no word on an official release date or collaboration from the pair, but ISOxo’s debut album, KIDSGONEMAD!, is releasing this year. ISOxo and Skrillex have had an amazing year so far and there is no saying what either have planned for the rest of it.
