Six months after releasing, “Bulletproof,” JEANIE has released her remix EP, Bulletproof (feat. BLUPILL) [Remixes] on Bassrush. The already-heavy song is taken to another level with a VIP and four diverse mixes.
The EP opens with JEANIE’s “Bulletproof” VIP. The hard-hitting remix was a good way to begin, reminding the listener of the overall vibe of the original. The first and second drops follow the same pattern, but the second drop brings the frequencies down.
CHYL completely turns the track around with an upbeat touch, making the high-tempo drops dancey. Her remix is fun and makes a break in the EP’s overall heaviness.
On top of this, the difference in genres throughout the EP and the placement of the remixes effectively allows the listener to transition from one song to the next.
VRG adds layered, mechanical drops and slows down the ending, letting the deep vocals and instrumental fade out before the track moves into Eyezic’s trap remix. The melodic-trap artist’s take is wonky and vibey.
The EP closes with an intense drum and bass mix by Rebel Scum. Known for his deep bass, Rebel Scum’s version of “Bulletproof” makes you want to dance…with a bass face.
Every track on Bulletproof (feat. BLUPILL) [Remixes] showcases the talent of producers in varying genres. JEANIE and BLUPILL’s original “Bulletproof” is an amazing dubstep track on its own. The EP is worth a listen, especially for dubstep listeners and those who enjoy bass.
