After two long years, Jason Ross has released his new lively single, “A Place They Called Home” on Anjunabeats. The progressive trance track has quick drums and punching beats leading up to explosive drops, keeping the track vibrant the entire way through.

“A Place They Called Home” is reminiscent of the early 2010s electronic music with interesting sound arrangements and an enchanting melody. Jason Ross shared that the single is a tribute to his mother’s family, who left Iran forty years ago. He revealed the impact that Iranian music has had on his own creative process.

Anjunabeats was founded in 2000 by Above and Beyond. Since then, the trio has released their own music on the label and supported a number of other musicians, including Jason Ross who dropped his 2019 album, Rooms, on the label. To celebrate the Anjunabeats’ twentieth anniversary, Ross curated Jason Ross Presents: 20 Years of Anjunabeats, a three-disc record with thirty-six songs total.

The track is the fifth song on Group Therapy 520, Anjunabeats’ most recent release. Earlier this year, he, Trivecta, and RBBTS dropped “From Ashes to Love.” Jason Ross’ second release of 2023, “A Place They Called Home,” helps set the tone for his plans this year, leaving listeners with a lot to anticipate.
