Grizcision? Exgrizion? After a Twitter user requested that GRiZ and Excision make a song together, the two artists agreed that they are interested in collabing.
GRiZ called the idea dope, leading Excision to reply with two curious emojis.
Neither artist has fully confirmed a collaboration but Excision’s reply was enough to get fans excited.
As far as listeners know, the two have never worked together. It is hard to know which direction a collaboration with the pair would go in, as they lean into distinctly different sides of dubstep.
GRiZ, known for his funky, disco-inspired tracks, has taken bass music in a different direction with his positivity and upbeat music. On the opposite side, Excision creates notoriously dark dubstep with heavy drops.
GRiZ and Excision are changing the scene in giant ways. Along with making overall good music, the two are consistently uplifting smaller artists and calling for inclusivity in the scene.
A collaboration between the two would be interesting and definitely intrigues us. We’re just hoping that GRiZ’s saxophone will be on it too.
