Martin Garrix’s forthcoming music academy plans to give the tools to newer artists to learn how to navigate the music industry.

Not satisfied with being one of the top progressive house DJs alive or the label head of STMPD RCRDS, Garrix plans to go from student to master with the opening of his own music academy. Set to open in March 2023 in Amsterdam at the STMPD Studios complex, the STMPD RCRDS x JBL partnership plans to be a space where 40 new musicians, songwriters, singers, and producers can learn from top experts in the music industry.

“I’m super excited about this music academy. The focus for us at STMPD RCRDS is already on emerging talent, but thanks to this collaboration with JBL we can provide a platform to a large group of new talent from all over the world.”

These select few will have the honor of being the inaugural class where they will be taught everything from production (writing, mixing, and mastering) to branding (public relations, social media, identity) to even the business side of things. Garrix himself will be heading a masterclass and will also be joined by other top industry figures.

Applications to apply run from December 1st all the way until January 27th, 2023, and can be submitted here. Applicants will have to submit a “motivational video”, as well as 3 demos, social and streaming platforms, and whether or not they are signed to an exclusive contract with a record or management company or publisher.
