Two years after the untimely passing of Garrett Lockhart, also known as i_o, his family announced that they would be releasing his legacy album on November 23rd.
Warehouse Summer has fourteen tracks, all created with singer Lights.
The techno and drum and bass album taps into different instruments throughout each song. The use of violins and pianos makes the entire record feel warm, like reflecting on past memories. Lights referred to the album as, “…a triumph, a bittersweet opus from that year.”
i_o released five EPs and has a coll. Lights has been making music for over two decades. The pair created AM 444 in 2020, a four-song EP. Lights has been outspoken about her love for i_o and his family.
Filled with substance and emotion, Warehouse Summer is a no-skip album that evokes nostalgic feelings. The posthumous release has been met with an overwhelming amount of support from fans, artists, and new listeners.
