Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding have been teasing this latest collaboration for a little while now, building anticipation for the fabled duos next mark on the music community.
‘Miracle’, which dropped today, reconfirms that these two simply do not miss. ‘I Need Your Love’ and ‘Outside’ are all time classics, and ‘Miracle’ slots right in as their third dance music chart-topper (or “soon to be”).
Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding did a spectacular job appealing to their sounds of old. ‘Miracle’ functions as a sort of homage to the trance raves of yesterday through its tempo, tune, builds, and break downs. Ellie Goulding’s room filling ballad strikes the very soul in an emotive, mystical way that only she can cultivate. Calvin Harris’ production allows her voice to take center stage on the track and build to his punchy, upbeat drops which underly the vocal. The track oozes with melody through its magnetic chords, chilling drop-downs, and pulsating rhythm.
